SMS Terms

These terms cover ZeroAnomaly Alerts, the text message program run by ZeroAnomaly, LLC (“ZeroAnomaly”, “we”). By adding your mobile number in your ZeroAnomaly dashboard, you agree to them.

What we send

• A one-time verification code when you add or change your number, so we know the phone is yours.
• Security alerts when a device on a router of yours contacts a destination on a known threat list. Each alert names the router and links to a page where you can allow or block the devices involved. Behavior that merely looks unusual shows on your dashboard and is not texted.

We don’t send marketing or promotional texts.

How you sign up

Sign in to your dashboard, open Settings, and add your mobile number under Alert texts. We text you a code, and alerts start only after you enter it. Signing up isn’t required to use ZeroAnomaly or to buy anything from us.

How often we text

Message frequency varies with activity on your network. When a router detects an attack, we text you right away. We text again right away if another device is affected or the attack gets worse, and otherwise at most once an hour while it continues. We never send more than 10 alerts per router in 24 hours, plus a verification code whenever you ask for one.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. ZeroAnomaly doesn’t charge for texts.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to any of our texts to stop all of them. We’ll reply once to confirm, and won’t text you again unless you reply START. You can also turn off alert texts or remove your number in Settings at any time.

Delivery

Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage.

Your number and privacy

We use your mobile number only to send the texts described here. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text message opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle all of your information.

Changes

The date at the top shows the current version. If we change what we text you or how often, we’ll email you before the change takes effect.
